Dristi Manandhar is a Nepalese architect currently based in Kathmandu, Nepal. With more than a decade of architectural experience in Nepal and United States, Dristi has worked on various commercial, hospitality and housing projects. Her passion lies in designing spaces that have a positive impact on people, community and the environment. She graduated from University of Oregon in 2017 with a Master of Architecture degree focusing in sustainable building technology and housing design. During his studies she had the opportunity to work as a field researcher at Energy Studies in Building Laboratory which has helped me develop refined knowledge in passive sustainable strategies and its implications in building design. She then worked at Carleton Hart Architecture in Portland, Oregon for almost 6 years where I worked on several affordable and transitional housing projects collaborating with architects, planners and community organization to create safe and affordable housing options for marginalized communities and families in need. She was also awarded the AIA Emerging Professional Award, Portland Chapter for the year 2018. Beyond architecture she is a freelance artist and children's book illustrator and cofounder of the art collective Didibahini.
